Abstract

Caesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is a rare and potentially life-threatening form of ectopic pregnancy implanted at a previous caesarean section scar. Early diagnosis is essential to prevent severe haemorrhage and uterine rupture. A 31-year-old G6P2+3L2 with two previous caesarean section presented at 9 weeks and 5 days. Transvaginal ultrasonography revealed a gestational sac at the caesarean scar without cardiac activity. She underwent diagnostic hysteroscopy which revealed gestational sac at the lower uterine segment. Manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) was done. Hysteroscopy allowed direct visualization and safe removal of gestational tissue.
